Geography
France is located in southern Europe and is about the size of Texas. It has a generally mild climate, which means generally cool winters and mild summers. The total population is 64,057,792(1). 83-88% are catholic, and they language is 100% French, according to CIA World Fact Book. They also have several other states, they are French Guiana, which is located in Northern South America, bordering the North Atlantic Ocean, between Brazil and Suriname. Guadeloupe is located in the Caribbean, islands between the Caribbean Sea and the North Atlantic Ocean, southeast of Puerto Rico. Martinique is located in the Caribbean, island between the Caribbean Sea and North Atlantic Ocean, north of Trinidad and Tobago. Reunion is located near Southern Africa, island in the Indian Ocean, east of Madagascar.
Political
France is also the largest European nation. French Government is a Republic. They also have three branches in their Government; a Legislature, Judiciary, and Executive branch They have both a President and a Prime Minister in the Executive branch. Their Legislature is a Bicameral Parliament. France has three branch of their military an Army, Navy, and Air Force. A few major issues that France is Currently dealing with is property of several of their state Islands.
Culture
According to Discover France(2) the literacy rate for the entire French Nation is 99%. The capital of France is Paris. Fête de la Fédération is the national holiday for them that falls on July 14. I.F.A.F.(3) states that France is the home to the famous Tour De France, where a hundred cyclist compete. They also pointed out that France has several huge major attractions like the Eiffel Tower Stands, the Louvre, and the Cathedral of Notre Dame
