Field Research: If you are in competition for and type of position try to do field research it might just give you the edge you need to be the best.

Interviewing: Experts in some field are very good people to Interview. They help give you a more personal opinion on a subject. Prepare for an interview by writing down questions. For the questions, try to use questions that are more detailed so they are very effective. Accuracy is very important so you should ask if you can tape the interview to help with that. Another way to get info is to do surveys. They help get a wider variety of opinions.

Visiting and Observing: Another tactic is you could go visit a place and observe what happens there and that will help with.

Contacting Organizations: By contacting organizations they can help your research by sending out more information about the group and their opinions. They can also tell you about literature that’s up to date in what you are researching.
