What exactly do you want to learn about the person? How do you plan on befriending the person? What aspects of history do you hope to learn?

What are you going to learn about the person? I really like your second objective, it's a good one to have and will make your interview more interesting.
ReplyDeletePlease check your spelling. Here are my questions:
ReplyDelete1. Learn more about the person.
How? How did you prepare understanding them?
2. Find out somethings that no one else would know.
Why? At present, you know nothing about that person. Why reveal secrets, rather than readily accessible information?
3. Learn where about where they come from.
???
4. Befriend them
Not a good idea without the needed context, I'm afraid.
5. Learn some history of their culture.
Good idea. Please redo the first four, Chris, and add some beef.
cheers
Roland
Good work, Chris. Regardless of number 2, I don't think that will work. Because they we will want to know about you, too so that they can tell you something.
ReplyDelete-Mohammed.
I think you could do more with your objectives by getting meaningful answers. You could try to find out what background do they have, for instance by comparing their daily routine back home to your routine here in America. Also, you could ask them what part of American culture do they like? Is it the festivals, or is it the thinking perspective which is supposed to be open-minded.

For the fourth reason, I dont think it is a goal for the interview.
ReplyDeleteBe more specific on what you want to learn also maybe add the steps you are going to take in the interviewing process.
ReplyDeleteHow would you find out something no one would know.. fun question!
ReplyDeleteI would make sure you have already information about the culture of the person you are interviewing before you ask him questions.
ReplyDeletei dont like objective #2, i dont think they are going to open up that much in the interview to tell you something no one else knows.
ReplyDeleteyour objectives should be more detailed and specific, like how you're going to prepare, what you expect to learn through the process.
ReplyDeleteI want to hear more about NO.2 because I'm curious! :D But your objectives seem too broad to me. I want to know more details! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteYour objectives seem to be heading in the right direction, but you may want to expand on them and include details on your preparation for the interview.
ReplyDeleteNeeds to be more in depth on how how you are going to go about getting those goals done.
ReplyDeleteYour objectives are good I just think your going to want more of them to help you see your goals before you go into the interview. :)
ReplyDeleteObjectives are good. May need to be more specific though.
ReplyDeleteThey seem pretty good, not sure how easy they will be about telling you something that most people dont know about them.
ReplyDeleteYou objectives need to be more specific. Try and make the international student feel more comfortable.
ReplyDeleteYour objectives have to be more specific and you have to describe how you are going to accomplish this task.
ReplyDeleteHey Chris,
ReplyDeleteI think your objectives are good but a little. I think you will make your interviewee feel very comfortable.
